Admittance & Name Badges
Registrants are required to collect their name badge and MasterClass materials from the Registration Desk (located on the front lawns of the Reef View Hotel) anytime between 12.00noon - 4.00pm on Thursday 1 November 2007.  Name badges must be worn at all times to gain entry to the MasterClass sessions & social functions.

 

Catering
The following catering is included in the registration fee:

  • all programmed lunches for Friday & Saturday

  • all programmed morning & afternoon teas for Friday & Saturday

  • all programmed social functions held on Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings
    (RSVPs are required for these functions as places are limited)

Climate
Hamilton Island has a year round tropical climate with an average of 27.4°C.  At the time of the Mycology MasterClass, temperatures on Hamilton Island are expected to be around 29°C.  Tropical showers usually occur between December - March.

 

Day Pack

If you arrive prior to the 2.00pm hotel check in time, the island recommends you bring a day bag with your bathers, a change of clothes, sunscreen, a hat etc. just in case your room is not ready.  The facilities of the island Hospitality Lounge (accessed from the lobby of the Reef View Hotel) are complimentary - facilities include lockers, change rooms, towels and shower facilities.

 

Disclaimer
The Mycology MasterClass including its organising committee and conference organisers will not accept any liability for damages of any nature sustained by participants or their accompanying persons for loss or damage to their personal property as a result of the Mycology MasterClass or related events. Participants should make their own arrangements with regard to personal insurance.

 

The program and meeting information (including costs and rates) published on this website are correct at the time of its last update. The organising committee reserve the right to alter the information contained on this site as and when deemed necessary.

 

The Mycology MasterClass will not be responsible for registrations not received whether via the Mycology MasterClass website due to internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or natural disasters or via another agreed format.  It will be the responsibility of the registrant to ensure that a confirmation of registration has been received from the conference organisers

Insurance
Attendees to the Mycology MasterClass should arrange their own medical, travel and personal insurance as the organising committee &/or conference organisers will not be responsible for claims by attendees.  Insurance should be purchased in your state/country of origin. It is strongly recommended that at the time of submitting your registration and making your travel arrangements that you also take out suitable insurance policy/s.

 

Messages
The Mycology MasterClass is unable to provide a message service to participating delegates.  Participants should make their own arrangements for messages with their hotel.

People with Special Needs
Every effort will be made to ensure that people who have special needs are adequately catered for.  Please indicate your special requirements on the registration form and the conference organisers will do their best to assist. 

 

Upon Arrival on the Island

Your accommodation includes the complimentary delivery of your luggage from the airport (or Fantasea Jetty, depending on how you arrive on the island) direct to your hotel room.

 

Please make sure all your luggage is clearly labelled and identify your luggage to portering staff who will be waiting at the airport or Fantasea Jetty.
